The Regional Assembly of Scalabrinians in Asia (RASA) 2025, held from July 21–25, gathered Scalabrinian missionaries and brothers from across Asia under the theme “Pilgrims of Hope”

The assembly opened with a vibrant evening on July 21, beginning with the Holy Mass followed by a festive dinner and social night. The atmosphere was filled with joy and fraternity as the community celebrated the birthdays and anniversaries of priestly ordination and perpetual vows of its members. The presence of Fr. Leonir Chiarello, CS (Superior General), and Fr. Syrilus Mardin, CS (General Counselor), added a special grace to the gathering.

Day 2 was marked by meaningful reflection and renewal. Fr. Martin Ignacio Gutierrez Rodriguez, CS, Provincial Superior, officially opened the Assembly and shared updates on the life of the Province. Fr. Leonir presented key insights from the XVI General Chapter, encouraging everyone to embrace the General Missionary Project — “Pilgrims of Hope: Walking in Charity” — as the spiritual and pastoral compass for the coming years. A dynamic open forum allowed participants to engage in dialogue with the General and Provincial Superiors. In the afternoon, Fr. Luis and Mr. Michael led a vital session on safeguarding, reaffirming the importance of a safe and respectful missionary environment. The day ended with a Eucharistic celebration led by Fr. Syrilus, with a heartfelt homily from Fr. Alvirio Mores, celebrating 50 years of priesthood.
Day 3 focused on mission and formation. Missionaries shared inspiring stories of service among migrants and refugees. Formators spoke about cultivating vocations in the SFC Province, while pastoral year reflections from Bro. Tan and Br. Cuu offered personal testimonies of growth and learning.
Together, we walk in hope, faith, and fraternity — true pilgrims of the Gospel.
