Celebrating the 3rd Anniversary of the Canonization of St. John Baptist Scalabrini

Today, the Scalabrinian Family around the world joyfully celebrates the Third Anniversary of the Canonization of St. John Baptist Scalabrini, the Father of Migrants.

Canonized by Pope Francis on October 9, 2022, St. Scalabrini continues to inspire the Church with his profound love for migrants, refugees, and seafarers. His missionary zeal and pastoral concern for those compelled to leave their homeland in search of a better life remain a shining example of faith in action and compassion without borders.

This day also marks the Scalabrinian Vocation Day, a special occasion of prayer and thanksgiving for the gift of vocation. We pray that the Lord may continue to call and inspire young people to dedicate their lives to the service of migrants and to the mission of communion that St. Scalabrini began.

As we commemorate this grace-filled anniversary, we renew our commitment to serve and walk with our migrant brothers and sisters with humility, love, and hope.
